17. Migrate settings from the Perception Application Server to the ETL Services Server

After Perception has been installed and configured, you will need to copy the relevant configuration settings from the Perception Application Server to the ETL Services Server. This is partly automated. To do this:

  1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Questionmark\Perception5\Configuration\ImportExport on the Perception Application Server
  2. Right-click on the export.bat file and click Run as administrator. Enter the usernames and passwords as required. The export.bat file will create a .cab file.
  3. Copy the .cab file to a location accessible from the ETL Services Server
  4. Copy the .cab file you created previously to C:\Program Files (x86)\Questionmark\Perception5\Configuration\ImportExport on the ETL Services Server
  5. Right-click the import.bat file and click Run as administrator. Enter the usernames and passwords as required. The keys will be imported to your ETL Services Server.
  6. Reset IIS
