15. Migrate settings from your Perception server to your ETL server

After Perception has been installed and configured, you will need to copy the relevant configuration settings from your Perception server to your ETL server. This is partly automated. To do this:

  1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Questionmark\Perception5\Configuration\ImportExport on your Perception server.
  2. Right-click on the export.bat file and click Run as administrator. Enter the usernames and passwords as required. The export.bat file will create a .cab file.
  3. Copy the .cab file to a location accessible from your ETL server.
  4. Copy the .cab file you created previously to C:\Program Files (x86)\Questionmark\Perception5\Configuration\ImportExport on your ETL server.
  5. Right-click the import.bat file and click Run as administrator. Enter the usernames and passwords as required. The keys will be imported to your ETL server.
  6. Reset IIS.

Make sure that the paths on both servers are identical.
